new memoir by Inuit throat singer

Tanya Tagaq - "Split Tooth"

I can't wait to read her fictionalized memoir Split Tooth - critics are raving. From her website:

"The work, which folds memoir with fiction, traditional stories with reality and poetry with prose, is the story of a girl growing up in the Nunavut in the 1970s. Dark and rapturous, Split Tooth does with words what Tagaq’s music often does without, sweeping the reader into a space where life’s artificial constructs hold no claim."

I am especially interested because I too grew up as a girl in the 70s in a small Arctic community(only in Alaska not Canada) and so does the indigenous protagonist girl in Flight of the Goose.
